Mikey Rukus
MikeyRukus, musician, live performer, composer, rapper, producer, businessman. These are the words used to describe this artist who seems to have found a major niche and is getting worldwide response to it.

MikeyRukus has entrenched himself within the world of MMA and is creating Custom Entrance Themes for fighters, and theme music for MMA websites, radio/tv shows, gyms/dojos, fight gear apparel lines, organizations and promotions looking for stock music for their events and performs them live as well.

Since the beginning of time, every area of entertainment has run hand in hand with music. Every genre of entertainment has been overrun with artists, bands who say "play my music", "go to my website", "let my band play" etc. For the first time, stands an artist that says, "let me create this for you" "let me define your brand identity thru music". The key being, when Mikey creates music for someone or a business entity, thats exactly what he does, include signing over 100% of all copyrights for the business owners to use the material in any way they see fit to advertise their brand.

Think of when the WWE superstars come out to their own music, when the first guitar chord of Triple H's Music hits, or when the glass would break at the start of Stone Cold Steve Austin, the crowd was summoned in an instant, and Mikey promises to provide that in the realm of MMA. For promotions looking for several songs, imagine having your own recording studio, where an artist creates an entire album for you, to not only set up for individual download on itunes or napster, but to sell as fight music CDs at your merch tables, and you retain 100% of all of the revenue. Imagine music being played in between fights at your event, and before your ring announcer calls out the next bout, mentions that the song you just heard is available on Itunes/Naptser for .99, watch how many hundreds of fans reach for their cell phone, Iphones or mp3 players, and you retain all of the revenue. In musicians terms this is unheard of. But Mikey sees this as a service that he is providing for the sport he loves and has followed since its inception in the mid 90's. It is this service that he is providing, that he believes will help him build a network necessary to become "THE GO TO GUY" in the industry for custom music, much like "STITCH" being the industry cut man. Mikey's wide array of styles (rock, hip hop, heavy metal, orchestral, electronica, punk, ethnic, tribal) and his adrenline charged approach to specialize in the dramatics and high energy has placed him as a perfect fit for all of mixed martial arts and "fight music" per say.

Mikey has run the gammit in terms of music for entertainment, from performing as a new-school style rapper at showcases years ago, to scoring feature films, video game and movie trailers, providing theme music for script concepts and pilot tv shows, and even performing as a front man for a local Richmond, VA band for a couple of years, while playing as lead guitarist in another, Mikey has done it all. But in his most recent run in providing music for the MMA community it seems that Mikey has truly found a home where he is quickly becoming not only known within the MMA community but widely accepted as well.

Rukus has currently forged a new band as he has gone solo and formed his own backup crew, which will start performing in 2011, to include playing as a cover band locally in his hometown, playing as an original artist in larger venues, and will also be performing live at select MMA events where he will act as live walkout music for fighters as well as playing theme songs for promotions are fight gear groups sponsoring the events.
